Hello
My name is Kacey Smith and I am a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist through the Texas State Board of Examiners and American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). I received my undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and earned a master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Texas Woman’s University.
My Story
My experiences include working in a public school, at a private therapy practice, and at a pediatric outpatient clinic for one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation. I have treated and evaluated children who have speech and sound disorders, speech delays, receptive and expressive language delays and disorders, autism, neurological impairments, cleft palate, hearing impairments, stuttering, and motor speech disorders. I specialize in Social Thinking®, an intervention and assessment framework dedicated to tackling the complex social-emotional learning needs of individuals with social learning challenges. I am passionate about using language to promote independent pragmatic problem solving in the pediatric population.
I live in The Woodlands with my husband, two daughters, and golden retriever. I love spending time outside with my family and getting to watch my daughters learn to navigate their social world.
